Am back...

Am back on the blog...after an extremely long break of over six months!! Life has been a tad bit hectic but the fact of the matter is that I have been such a lazy bum.. I kept postponing my much due visit to the blog and days kept passing by..

Its been more than six months since I acquired the much coveted marital status. But oh it still feels like yesterday that I was frantically running around & preparing for the D day. It was a one full week of wedding celebrations with the Sagan & Mehndi ceremony and Wedding function, taking place in Delhi. Then the venue shifted to Bhilai (where my in laws stay), where a whole series of post wedding ceremonies and Reception took place. It felt like the shortest week of my life coz everything just happened to have whizzed by so quickly. Everything went by so perfect and beautifully!! It was truly a dreamlike experience. I guess all the planning, hardwork and incessant arguments paid off wonderfully. :) The credit definitely goes to my parents who left no stone unturned to make this event truly beautiful and memorable. Ohh! I miss them so much...

Blink and Miss!!!

The wedding preparations began almost a few months ago. Yet, when I look back now I just can't keep check of the time passed by. And am sure its going to be the same for the coming few days and weeks. There is so much frenzy all around, too many thoughts and words floating everywhere that its impossible to keep a check on the 'present moment'.
Last few months have definitely been a blink and miss affair. Whatever recollections I have of the time gone by, everything revolved around that one big day. I would love to pause for few moments atleast and just soak in every detail and every thought. Alas! There isn't a pause option...

Am feeling the nervous excitement now. Just hope all goes well... :) I would love to know what other girls go through at this time. What is it that you felt/experienced few days before the wedding?? Share your thoughts please!!! I'd love to know... :)

P.S. -Also, Any special tips or do's or dont's for the wedding day - be it make up or hairdo or the outfit..anything... ??

Confused...

I still haven't been able to zero in on my outfit for the Sagan ceremony -- Pink & Silver Anarkali churidaar suit or the Turqoise georgette saree with a hint of pink or the Green brocade saree with a red embroidered border.... Ummmmm!!! Totally Confused... Also wondering about the matching jewellery... Suggestions please someone... !!

Countdown Begins....

Held a puja at home for an auspicious beginning. It was one of the most splendidly beautiful days of my life. I hope and wish the coming days to be as beautiful and smooth. The wedding cards are ready and are being sent out now. Quite a few things have been planned and finalised, a lot more still remain...
I'm not getting much time to sleep or rest, nor to sort out my thoughts at the moment and definitely no time to blog. There are plenty unfinished posts and complicated thoughts but I guess I'll pen them down post wedding....

Purple Palette!

I am hopelessly in love with the color Purple in all its possible shades,,varieties and combinations.... I still haven't got anything purple in my wardrobe.. But surely intend to stock up some lovelies pretty soon like the ones below .... :)

The Wedding Invite!!

I got a beautiful wedding card designed by my cousin's designer friend. It had an awesomely beautiful big floral motif with a ganpati placed in the centre, lovely strings made up of flowers & leaves in the background. Unfortunately, due to some technical and other reasons it did not materialise. :(
I am still feeling sad about it coz a whole lot of time, effort and emotions went into the making of that card.
Anyhow, visited a few card shops over the weekend and finalised on the wedding card design and text yesterday, alongwith matching wedding stationery. :)

Footwear Fetish!!!

Wherever I go to shop, I go completely crazy checking out all the footwear stores & collections. Have already purchased a good number of pairs for myself but am still craving for more... ;)
Just can't stop drooling over all these fabulous shoes & sandals... Ummmmmm!!!!
